|She may have once been a treasured pet, but neglect has allowed a group of skin tumors to grow which has impeded her gait. The tumors were removed over a large area of skin and the beautiful, well-mannered lass has had relief from the growths interfering with her movement. The young Sheltie, estimated to be about 2-3 years old, was found as a stray. She had a microchip but it was never registered. She is a mild-mannered miss who deserved a more responsible and caring owner. We call her Foxy and thanks to the kind donations to our Res-Q Fund, we are able to give her the much-needed veterinary care, recuperative efforts, and oversight to help her as well as the many needy animals that come through our doors.Foxy is at the Society’s Newark facility at 124 Evergreen Ave. in Newark, just off of Rt. 1 and 9, near the Newark International Airport and NJ Turnpike. The Society is open 7 days a week. For more information, call the Society at 973-824-7080 and refer to File 113843 or contact us by e-mail.
